Great Places for South Carolina Kayaking

One of the most unique kayaking locations in the world is that of South Carolina. There are all sorts of exciting things in the state, and there are various great kayaking locations to check out. In fact, there are places for South Carolina kayaking for those who are new to the field of kayaking and those who are more experienced.

 

Most every major city in the state's beaches, including Myrtle Beach and Charleston, has everything that a person needs for a kayaking trip. In fact, there is one group that offers great kayaking locations on the coast in Calm Water Kayak Tours. Located at Lake Jocassee, the Saluda River, Lake Keowee, Lake Hartwell and Lake Greenwood, this tour group offers great tours of the waters of South Carolina and its various beaches.

The city of Beaufort is another of the kayaking locations to check out. Beaufort Kayak Tours is one of the top places to visit for kayaking tours in the area. There are various different exciting routes offered by this group, including the Historic Beaufort, Hunting Island and Salt Marsh Exploration routes. At the Salt Marsh route there are known to be some bottle-nose dolphins in this area. In fact, saltwater crab fishing is offered in these areas. On the Hunting Island route the amazing jumping mullets can be found here, and at the Beaufort route the amazing history of the area can be explored.

Cool Breeze Kayaking, which is located in Hilton Head, is another of the top places to go to for kayaking locations in the state. The Dolphin Nature Tour is one of the most popular routes to visit here, as various dolphins can be found on this route. Some osprey and otters can be found on this route too. However, with all of the especially beautiful wildlife and sights to be found on this route it should be noted that space for this route can be especially limited throughout the year.

No matter which of these kayaking locations is chosen it should be noted that these trips are surprisingly affordable. It costs about forty dollars for an adult and thirty dollars for a child to go on most kayaking tours. Some overnight trips can be packaged to vacations as well. Also, some specific activities are included in these trips, including lunches and souvenirs. Life jackets will generally be provided in these trips as well.

There are all sorts of great places to see for South Carolina kayaking. There are various routes throughout the state, especially on the Atlantic Ocean, where kayakers can find great marine life and all sorts of historical areas. Also, there are various different groups that provide these tours with some great special deals.
