Great Places for Kayaking in Australia

There are various pacific kayaking destinations to check out, but some of the best of these places are in Australia. There are various different places to see for kayaking in Australia, and these include places for people who are new to kayaking and ones for people who are seasoned veterans.

 

For whitewater kayaking Perth is a great place to visit. Located in the western part of Australia, this is especially great for pacific kayaking during the Australian winter months of July to September. Murray River is one of the hottest destinations in the winter for kayakers here. A steep gradient is featured in these rapids. Fast Eddies, Trick Dick and Terminations Rapid are among the most popular rapids in this area.

Broome is a popular area on the Australian coast to visit. All sorts of birds and fish are found in this area, and Turtle Bay Lookout is especially popular here. All sorts of reefs, rock formations and natural life can be found in this area. In fact, ocean kayaks can be used to travel to the Eco Beach and Cape Villarette areas.

The largest city in Australia is Sydney, and there are various great places in this area to see for pacific kayaking. Sydney Harbour, which is home to the world famous Opera House and the Admiralty and Kerribilli Houses, can be explored by kayaking. However, because of the increase in motorized boat traffic this area is generally off limits to people who are inexperienced in kayaking, but for others who are fans of this activity this is a great place to check out.

The Adelaide Dolphin Sanctuary is also popular for pacific kayaking. The Ships Graveyard Maritime Heritage Trail is an especially popular trail to visit for all kayakers. Also, the Port River dolphins can be found on this route.

The Great Barrier Reef is about fourteen hundred miles long and features nearly two thousand species of fish and many forms of coral. It is the world's largest reef, and kayaking is an especially fun activity in this area. All sorts of tropical forests can be found on the various islands in this area as well.

Tully River, which is in the World Heritage Rainforest, is also popular among pacific kayaking locations. Located south of Cairns, the Tully River is a steep river with forty five different rapids, making this a true adventure to see for people who are interested in kayaking.

The last of the places to see is the Prince's Bridge. Located near the Yarra River in Melbourne, this place is a great destination to visit through kayaking, and there are all sorts of attractions in the area, including a casino.

Kayaking in Australia is one of the most exciting things to do in the world, and there are various different places for kayaking in this country. These include areas in urban spots and some beautiful secluded rapids. These are fun places to see for excitement and are among the top places for pacific kayaking.
